Candace Parker had 25 points and nine rebounds, her Chicago Sky shot 56.2 percent from the field and 15-of-22 from three and the Sky outrebounded the Seattle Storm 36-22 en route to a statement 107-75 victory over the third-place team and defending champions on Sunday at Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett, Wash.

With the win, the Sky completed a three-game season sweep of the Storm, with all three wins coming in the past 15 days, and turned a lot more heads than they did with an 87-85 overtime win against no Breanna Stewart and no Sue Bird and a 73-69 win where they struggled at times offensively.

Chicago extended its winning streak to three and improved to 14-12, three and a half games ahead of the Washington Mystics and New York Liberty, who are tied for eighth.

This was a shocking outcome seeing as the Storm had only lost by double digits once this season (by 16) and their next closest loss was by eight.

The Sky won ugly on Friday. They put the league on notice on Sunday.

“We're still in middle of the pack in the standings,” Parker said when asked if she thinks any team can beat them when they play like they played on Sunday. “I think the key is to stay even-keeled. I like our chances. And I said that when we were winning. If we can figure it out, I like our chances. And that’s why a lot of us are here. With that being said, we’re able to beat anybody, but we’re also able to lose to anybody. So until we fix that, we gotta continue to grind it out.”

Eight different Sky players made a three and Parker’s 2-of-5 effort was the lowest percentage of the group. Diamond DeShields was 3-of-4 with 16 points, four assists and three steals and Courtney Vandersloot was also 3-of-4 and had 13 points and 10 assists.

Azurá Stevens added 12 points and nine rebounds to the winning cause while rookie Dana Evans and Kahleah Copper had 14 and 13 points respectively. Evans broke her career high in scoring by five. The team effort allowed Chicago to set a new season high in points.

Breanna Stewart had 19 points and six boards and Jordin Canada had 17 points in defeat. The Storm (18-10) have lost three in a row.
