EAST POINT, Ga. — East Point police said they are investigating after a person was shot and killed in a busy street.

Police said a man’s body was found in the middle of Washington Road near Harris Drive and the Piggly Wiggly grocery store around 5 p.m.

The man’s body had gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

TRENDING STORIES

Police said a suspect fled from the scene, but has not been found. Neither the victim nor the suspect has been identified.
