PATRICK’S DAY. THEY ALL SMILES AND CHEERS THIS SAINT PATRICK’S DAY WEEKEND. HAPPY SAINT PATRICK’S DAY! HI MOM. FOLKS FLOODED FELLS POINT THIS SATURDAY, PARTYING ON FOR SAINT PATTY’S DAY, CELEBRATING IN THEIR BEST GREEN. I’VE GOT MY KILT ON, I’VE GOT MY, UM, SAINT PAT’S PARTY TEAM WITH GARFIELD ON THERE. I’M READY. YOU KNOW, IT’S SAINT PATTY’S DAY. HOW WHAT? WHERE ELSE WOULD YOU BE? IT’S THE PLACE TO BE. FELLS POINT FELLS IS ALWAYS THE MOST FUN OUT OF ANY PLACE THERE IS IN BALTIMORE. AND THAT OPINION STRETCHES ACROSS STATE LINES. TAMMY MOYER TRAVELED WITH DOZENS OF FOLKS FROM LANCASTER COUNTY, PA, THE DRINKS ARE FLOWING AND EVERYBODY’S HAPPY, ALL TO EMBRACE THE SHENANIGANS HERE IN BALTIMORE. IT IS A FUN PLACE. EVERYBODY IS SUPER FRIENDLY AND IN THE CENTER OF ALL THE FUN IRISH PUB MAKING THE START OF THEIR SEASON WITH THE IRISH HOLIDAY, THIS IS IT. IT’S THE KICKOFF OF OUR SEASON. UM, WE LOVE SAINT PATRICK’S DAY HERE. WE GOT THE WHOLE BEST PLACE IN ALL OF MARYLAND TO COME DOWN AND CELEBRATE. AND WITH ALL THE SHAMROCKS AND FOUR LEAF CLOVERS, MANY FELT THE LUCK WHEN IT CAME TO THE BRIGHT SUN AND WARM TEMPS AND JUST ENJOYING A GREAT WEATHER. UH, IT’S BEAUTIFUL OUT FELLS POINT IS A GREAT PLACE TO BE. BEING RIGHT HERE IS WHAT IT MEANS TO BE IRISH. IT’S AMAZING. NO OTHER PLACE I WANT TO BE. NO OTHER PLACE HE WANTS TO BE FELLS POINT. NOW I CAN TELL YOU THE CROWDS. THERE’S NOT NEARLY AS MANY PEOPLE HERE TONIGHT AS THERE WAS THROUGHOUT THE DAY TODAY. BUT AS YOU CAN SEE BEHIND ME, BALTIMORE POLICE, THEY HAVE BEEN HERE THROUGHOUT THE DAY, PATROLLING THE AREA. THEY HAVE OFFICERS WALKING AS WELL AS IN VEHICLES. JUST SOMETHING TO KEEP IN MIND. Crowds take to Baltimore's Fells Point ahead of St. Patrick's Day

Baltimore's Fells Point was packed with people on the Saturday before St. Patrick's Day. Many took to Thames Street wearing their best Irish attire."I've got my kilt on, I've got my St. Pat's party team (shirt), I'm ready," one man told 11 News.The Slainte Irish Pub was one of several businesses filled with people throughout the day."This is it! This is the kickoff of our season. We love St. Patrick's Day here. We have the best place in all of Maryland to come down and celebrate," said general manager of Slainte Irish Pub, Adam Williams. "Everybody's having a good time, and that's what we're all about here."Dozens of people traveled to Fells Point from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, all to embrace the celebration. "We chose Baltimore because it's friendly, safe and the weather is always beautiful here," said Taimi Moyer, who traveled from Pennsylvania. "We've never had a bad experience in ten years with the weather." 11 News saw several Baltimore police officers patrolling the streets in Fells Point during the day.
